CREATING & LEADING RITUALS

Hello, I’m Leah

Once upon a time, and once upon a where and why, all cultures created rituals for so many occasions - rites of passage and special feast days or holy days or Just Because.

I love creating and leading rituals and ceremonies.

What can be a ritual?

I believe our culture has lost many of its rituals and rites of passage - shouldn’t all girls have a rite of passage? Shouldn’t we create baby namings? Or ceremonies for the dying as well as the grieving?

It might be a Wedding, a Baby Naming, a Healing, a Memorial, a Women’s Ritual in a meadow.

Perhaps you want to celebrate the Day of the Dead or Solstice or gather for Holi or have a ritual gathering for someone who is ill or celebrate a recovery?

I would like to create a ritual for you or if you wish to create a ceremony based on your own design, I can lead it.

My Experience

I have created and led rituals for different occasions: Weddings (licensed minister), Samhain and Beltane ceremonies, Dîa de los Muertos, Sukkot, Passover, Prayer Circles

I am familiar with the ceremonies and stories of many cultures, from Hindu to Mayan. I taught World Religions, Myth, Symbol & the Arts and Asian Thought & Culture at the College of Marin, where I was a tenured professor. I’ve had the privilege of traveling and living among traditional cultures and they have taught me so much about how ritual creates meaning and connection.

I am a trained facilitator who has initiated and helped process a variety of situations.

I know how to create connection. And I’m a published poet.

It would be a pleasure to help you find your own ritual path.
